In this article, we go through how to track referring parties in the Matter Opening tab within Unity® Practice Management.

To do this:

1. On your matter opening tab within your purchase matter, scroll to the bottom, where you will see the Referral field. 

   

2. If you would like to track who is referring business to your firm, click into the pencil box icon and you will be presented with all of your databases. From here, you can make your selection accordingly and enter in the name of the individual that has referred the business to you. 

   

   

3. If the individual is not in a database, each database will have access to the Add New button, allowing you to bring the referring party into the appropriate database. Once everything is in place, select OK, and you have now brought in the referring party. 

   

   

4. From here, you will be able to track all referrals on your Matters Anchor page in your Actions button through the Global Advanced Search Lists.
