During the month of January, we have released a few updates designed to improve user experience across the Ontario Business Registry (OBR) filing workflow and Electronic Due Diligence (EDD) eSummary reporting.

1. OBR Filing Workflow Improvements

We have reinstated and improved validation checks within the OBR filing workflow:

• When initiating an Initial Return, the system will confirm whether one has already been filed to prevent duplicate submissions.

These checks now occur earlier in the workflow, reducing submission errors and avoiding end-stage rejections.

2. New EDD eSummary Inclusions

EDD eSummary reports will now include summarized results for Bank Act searches.

Previously, these results were not reflected within the consolidated eSummary. Now, when your EDD eSummary order includes a Bank Act search, the summarised results will automatically appear in the report, improving visibility and completeness.
