In this article, we go through how to set up Title Insurance for purchase matters in the Matter Opening tab within Unity® Practice Management.

To set up title insurance for your purchase matter:

On the Matter Opening tab, scrolling down, you will see the fields for Is the transaction title insured? The default is set to No.
Clicking into the pencil box icon will give you access to select the title insurance provider for which you have credentials.
Select your insurer and then OK.
Do note that you can also indicate another title insurer, that the transaction is not title insured or that it is not yet determined.
If you do need to reach out to an insurance provider, you can always engage with the contact info portal link, which will take you directly to the company's website.
Once you have selected your title insurance preference, select OK. That will pull in the name of your insurer into the insurer field and invoke your title insurance tab.
