Vendor Invoices Module
Post & Pay Multiple Vendor Invoices
Bookkeepers, with sufficient permissions, can now select multiple invoices and choose to post and pay them.
This allows for the generation of a single payment requisition for a Vendor with multiple invoices.
1. Select the Invoices
Open the Vendor Invoices module, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click on the relevant invoices listed on the Overview grid. Then click the Post & Pay button.

Posting Codes Module
Create a New UTBMS Schedule
1. Find the Schedules
Open the Posting Codes module and browse to the new Schedules tab. The tab features a UTBMS Schedules grid.
2. Define the New Schedule
Click Add, and the Add UTBMS Schedule window will open. Name the new schedule and use the arrows to select or deselect the applicable codes. You can select multiple codes.
- In the example below, the Copies, Copying, and Other codes have been selected.
- Use SHIFT to select a range of codes
- Use CTRL to select multiple individual codes
3. Adjust the Rate Associates with the Schedule
To apply a custom rate for the Schedule, click on the Rate hyperlink. The Edit Rate dialog will display. Add the new rate and click Save.
In the example below, the Copies rate has been adjusted from $0,00 to $15,00
4. Save the Schedule
Review your selections and click, Save.
✏️Note: When recording fees for a matter where a UTBMS schedule applies, selecting a code from the schedule applies the rate defined in the schedule. The new rate will specifically override the fee schedule, fee earner and tariff rates. |
Edit Existing UTBMS Schedules
1. Open the Posting Codes Module
Navigate back to the UTBMS Schedules grid. Choose your UTBMS schedule and click Edit.
2. Edit an Existing Schedules
The Edit UTBMS Schedule window will open. Make the necessary changes, then click Save.
Delete UTBMS Schedules
1. Open the Postings Module
Return to the UTBMS Code Schedules grid. Choose your schedule and click Delete. A warning dialog will display. Click Yes to permanently delete the UTBMS Schedule.

Roles Module
New Permissions
1. UTBMS Schedules
- System Administrators can now add, edit, and delete UTBMS Schedules.
- To give a role access to these permissions, browse to the relevant Administrator role. Navigate to the Posting codes permissions.
- Tick the Add UTBMS Schedules, Delete UTBMS Schedules, and Edit UTBMS Schedules checkboxes.
Click Save and restart GP Desktop to apply your changes.
2. Contracts
Your firm can now restrict a user’s ability to create new contacts.
To apply the restriction, open the relevant role and browse to the Contacts permissions list. Untick the Add Contact permission and click Save.
Practice Setup Module
Configure EFT Payment Date Default
If your firm processes EFT payments, you can choose whether to use the requested “pay by date” as the default date for the payment. Alternatively, have the default payment date always use the current date.
✏️Note: When no Pay by date settings are configured, the current date is used as the default payment date for all your firm’s EFT payments. Previously, the payment date defaulted to the requested pay by date. |
1. Set the Default Date
Open the Practice Setup module and navigate to the Payments tab. Locate the Online Payments section.
2. Save you Changes
Tick the Apply Pay by Date for EFT payments checkbox if the payment date should default to the requested pay by date. Else untick the checkbox to have the payment date defaulted to the date of processing. Then click Save.
Electronic Billing: Ignore 255 character limit
For firms that use Ledes 2.0 format, a new option has been exposed on the e-billing templates to ignore the 255-character limit for line item narrations.
1. Locate e-billing Template
Open the Practice Setup module and navigate to the Invoices tab. Locate the Electronic Billing Templates section and choose the appropriate template for editing.
2. Ledes 2.0 Option
On the Electronic Billing Vendor Template, locate the Ledes 2.0 section. Check the new checkbox option Line item narration – ignore 255 character limit if your vendor supports longer line item narrations on the invoice.
