Learn how to add purchasers in the Purchasers Tab within Unity® Practice Management.
To add purchasers:
-
Head into the Purchasers tab, and in the dynamic search field, you can begin to enter either the surname or the first name of your client. Entering a few characters will open up your client database to help you locate your client if they are an existing client.
-
If the client is new to your firm, select Add New Record and begin to fill in the fields.
-
If you have a valid e-mail address for your client, you will be able to communicate with them via Unity C. Once you have your preliminary information in place, save, and you have just added a new individual to your client database.
-
If there are additional purchasers, simply select Add Another Purchaser. And again, you will be presented with a dynamic search field. You can either add the client if they are new to the firm or locate them in your client database.
- Continue to engage with the Add Another Purchaser button until all of your purchasers have been successfully added.
-
Select the primary client for communication purposes.
-
Additionally, under Offeror, you can click on Add All Purchasers as Offerors if you want this information included in your reporting.
-
If there are additional offerors above and beyond your clients, click on Add Another Offeror to bring that individual in.
-
The Client Line will populate based on the data pulled in from the purchasers.
-
The e-mail address will be present and you can indicate that it will be the same e-mail address as your primary client.
-
If your clients will be residing at the subject property that they are purchasing, select Yes. If they are not residing at the property after purchase, select No.
✏️NOTE:
The default is set to yes.
-
Envelope Salutation is pre-populated and you do have options through the dropdown if you would like to change.
-
The Dear line will automatically populate, you have access to additional options through the dropdown.
-
The pre-closing address can be filled in.
-
And if the post-closing address is the same as the subject property, based off of step 11, it will pre-populate. Otherwise, you can manually enter a different address or indicate that the address for the clients will remain as the pre-closing address.
-
If you are direct depositing funds to your client's bank account, you can select the dropdown and choose Yes and enter in your client's bank account details, as well as the date that the funds were deposited.
