This article details the partner products available on the NoticeConnect site for your estate administration needs.
Canadian Financial Profile by EstateSearch
NoticeConnect has partnered with EstateSearch to offer a Canada Asset and Debt Search for estates.
When you order the Canadian Financial Profile it:
- Contacts all significant financial institutions to notify them of the duly appointed legal representative.
- Requests information on dormant or active accounts that belonged to the deceased.
- Provides an Initial Report after 24 hours and a Final Report after 30 days.
How to place your order:
- Add the Financial Profile to your cart and click Next.
-
Fill in the forms. You are required to attach PDF documents for each of the following:
- Evidence of Death (e.g., a death certificate)
- Your Authority to Act (e.g., grant of probate, or copy of will naming you as the Executor)
- Letter of Authority – a letter that grants authority to EstateSearch to act on your behalf when requesting information from financial institutions. Download the template from the site and upload your signed PDF copy.
- Signed Client Engagement Letter – this is only required if your Authority to Act is on behalf of someone else (e.g., on behalf of the Executor, Next of Kin, or Estate Administrator). It is not required if your firm is the Executor.
- Click Next.
- Review the order and click Agree & Continue.
- Complete your payment information. Payment is by credit card only.
- Click Confirm and Pay.
- View the Order Confirmation screen. Your receipt will be emailed to you.
- Access your reports and notifications. You’ll receive an email notification within 24 hours when your Initial Report is available. After 30 days, you’ll receive an email notification when your Final Report is available. Both reports can be accessed from your NoticeConnect account. If you receive an Interim Notification between the Initial and Final Reports, see Viewing Interim Notifications below for instructions on accessing the information through EstateSearch.
Viewing Interim Notifications
After your Initial Report is issued, you may receive an email notification advising that a participating financial institution has responded or that match information is available before your Final Report is ready.
Interim Notifications received between the Initial Report and Final Report are currently viewed through the EstateSearch portal rather than through your NoticeConnect account.
If you receive an Interim Notification and are unable to view the information:
- Go to the EstateSearch Pro portal.
- Click Forgot your password?
- Enter the email address associated with your Canadian Financial Profile order and follow the instructions to reset your password.
- Sign in to the EstateSearch portal.
- Click All Cases and locate your case.
- Your report and available match information can be viewed from your case.
If you have any difficulty accessing the EstateSearch portal or have questions about your case, please contact the EstateSearch Customer Success team at helpdesk@estatesearch.ca.
Your Initial Report and Final Report are available through your NoticeConnect account. The steps above are specifically for accessing Interim Notifications received between your Initial and Final Reports. |
