This FAQ guide covers some of the most frequent queries regarding Joint Holder Exclusions.
Q: Does excluding a joint holder change the total percentage of the holding?
Answer:
No. Excluding a Holder only hides their specific node or label from the Structure Chart visualization. The Ownership percentages and unit counts remain tied to the Certificate. The Chart continues to reflect the total interest held by the remaining visible members of that joint holding.
Q: What happens to the interest type labels on the Chart?
Answer:
When a Holder is excluded, their specific Interest Type (e.g., Trustee) is removed from the visual flow. Only the Interest Type of the visible Holders (e.g., Beneficial Owner) remains displayed next to the connection lines or within the Entity nodes.
Q: Will the excluded holder still appear in Excel or PDF Ownership reports?
Answer:
The Exclude from Structure Charts toggle specifically targets the visual Charts module. The Holder remains part of the legal record and continues to appear in Securities ledgers, Registers, and data-heavy exports to ensure regulatory accuracy.
Q: Can I exclude all holders on a single certificate?
Answer:
Yes. If every Holder on a Certificate is toggled to Exclude from Structure Charts, the connection line and the associated units/percentages for that specific issuance will not appear on the Chart.
