- In Unity® Accounting, click on File > Switch to Single-User Mode.
- Click OK on the prompt that appears.
- You are now in single-user mode.
More on Single-User Mode
Typically, administrators utilize single-user mode to carry out specific tasks. For instance, you might need to restrict all users from accessing Unity® Accounting to close your financial year.
Additionally, certain sections of the software, such as the Maintenance menu, can only be accessed in single-user mode. This security measure guarantees that new global settings are applied uniformly to all users before they can enter new data.
|
💡Tip: It is recommended that you close your financial year in a single-user mode to ensure that no transactions are entered for the previous fiscal year. |
To switch from single-user mode to multi-user mode:
- In Unity® Accounting, click on File > Switch to Multi-User Mode.
- Click OK on the prompt that appears.
- You are now in multi-user mode.
|
💡Tip: Ensure that you primarily operate in multi-user mode and switch to single-user mode only when prompted or when you need to modify your Unity® Accounting settings. |
