This article explains File Statuses and what they mean in Unity® Entity Management.
Template entities can be created, which is helpful when you have a group of companies that have the same directors, shareholder classes, and minute book tabs.
You can create as many templates as you need, and these are not charged for.
Pending
A status of “Pending” indicates that the record is still in progress. This may apply when you are creating a new entity or adding a new person. The status will remain “Pending” until all required details are completed and, if applicable, any necessary filings have been finalized.
Confirm
A “Confirmed” status indicates that the entity is active. It can remain in this status, or after filing, you may choose to mark it as “Not Managed.” This ensures that if future annual compliance tasks arise and you are no longer representing the corporation, you will not incur charges.
Outgoing
If you have an Entity that is in the midst of a merger, the outgoing entity can be locked down so that no inadvertent changes are made.
Let Lapse
You can also set an Entity to let lapse while you are waiting for instructions.
Closed
Once an outgoing merger has been completed, you can set the Entity to "closed", or an Entity that you are no longer working with can also be set to "closed".
Deleting an Item
Only administrators can "delete an item" using the option at the bottom of the list. This is primarily intended for cases where a duplicate entity has been created and generally isn’t used otherwise.
| Creating a new Entity, whether it's pending or confirmed, will trigger the charge. |
