Fees for Trust Receipts are governed by rules from the Law Society of British Columbia.
Within Unity® Accounting these are entered under Trust receipts like this
- Select Clients & Matters
- Click Trust Receipts
- A new screen will open, fill out details:
- Bank
- Date
- Payment Type
- Receipt Number
- Received From
- Amount
- Enter a Description of the transaction
- Under the TAF heading click the dropdown and select one of the options
- C - Charge TAF to client/matter
- F - Charge TAF to firm
- D - Do not charge TAF
- Click Save
- Click Post & Save
