This article contains Frequently Asked Questions on Bailiff searches for British Columbia using eCore
Question: Why can’t I type in the City name anymore?
Answer: We have moved to a dropdown menu listing specific Bailiff Service. Areas (jurisdictions). Previously, manual intervention was required to match a city to a bailiff, which slowed down the process. By selecting the specific area directly, your order is processed automatically, resulting in significantly faster turnaround times.
Question: I don’t know which Service Area covers the city I need to search. What should I do?
Answer: British Columbia is divided into specific jurisdictions. If you know the city but not the Bailiff area:
- Check the Map: Please refer to the BC Court Bailiff Service Areas Map which outlines which cities fall under which Service Area.
-
Contact Us: Our Customer Support team is happy to help you determine the correct area.
Question: Can I still search for multiple names on one order?
Answer: Yes. You can still submit multiple names on a single order. As usual, all names submitted in the request will be listed together on the resulting PDF report for that specific Bailiff.
Question: How will my results look different?
Answer: Previously, if you searched multiple areas, you received one merged PDF. Now, you will receive one separate PDF per Bailiff.
- Example: If you search for a name in Vancouver, you will receive three separate PDF files—one from the Accurate Court Bailiff Services, one from Consolidated Civil Enforcement and one from Integrated Civil Enforcement.
Question: Why are the reports separated now?
Answer: This allows for "real-time" delivery. If one bailiff returns results in 30 minutes and another takes 2 hours, we can deliver the first result to you immediately rather than making you wait for the combined file.
Question: How will this appear on my invoice?
Answer: Instead of a single bundled line item for the search, you will see one transaction line item per Bailiff that was engaged, much like you will see in your reports index. This provides complete transparency regarding which court bailiff was searched and billed.
Question: Who can I contact if I have trouble placing an order?
Answer: Our support team is ready to assist you with the new dropdown menu or any other questions. Please contact us at ecore.support@dyedurham.com.
