This article introduces E-IDV and its features within Unity® Practice Management
Dye and Durham is introducing E-IDV in Unity Practice Management; a feature that allows Law firms to electronically verify their own contacts.

Request E-IDV from a Contact
ID Verification can be requested from a Contact. This version supports the submission of individuals
Individuals are Blank (unspecified), Male and Female Gender selection
Power of Attorney, Estate, Corporation, and Other Entities are out of scope in this version, however, individuals within these contacts can be verified; e.g. signing officers, and trustees.

Request E-IDV Charges
Users can submit requests for multiple contacts.
Each contact is treated as a separate ID verification with its own associated cost.
Users are notified before submitting to confirm the charges.
Request E-IDV from a Contact – history and actions
- All submissions for a contact appear in the ID Verification section
- The available actions depend on the status of each submission
- On this screen, a user can:
- Edit the request to update the first name, last name, or email
- Cancel a request
- Refresh the page to check for status updates such as Submitted , Pass or Fail
Track E-IDV Status
Within UnityC you can track the different status and be alerted by a toolbar counter of recent changes
This can be filtered by type E-IDV status. A drop down allows users to filter status alerts
The following are IDV statuses, description, and billability
Status Condition | Description |
| Submitted | Has been submitted successfully |
| Partially Completed | More data required to submit |
| Fail | The client has failed ID Verification |
| Pass | Shows the client is verified and the date |
| Error | An error has been encountered |
| Denied Sharing | The Client has not given permission to share the information |
| In Progress | The process has been started by the client but not submitted |
| Cancelled | The client has cancelled, with the date |
Billing is processed upon completion of the eIDV, not at the time of request. After completion, the invoice can be found alongside the reports in the same modal within the application. The user will not be able to access this in Treefort if they have an existing account. We are directly integrated with Treefort; we bill the customer for the request, and Treefort will bills us. |
