The “Billing Realization” report provides an analysis of fees that have been billed and the amount of fees that have been realized from that, as well as variances. 

The report displays the data as three separate summaries depending on the report by option selected.  For example.  1. Responsible Lawyer 2. Working Lawyer and 3. Type of Law. The details include the hours, fees, billed fees, variance, % realized and the effective rate/hr.  

This report includes clients/matters that are open and closed. 

To Print the Report

1. Click on "Reports"
2. Select the "Billing Realization" report

3. Transactions From - Select the date range for transactions to include on the report. 

   Default range is 01/01/1980 to current date.

4. Report by -Filter the report by “Firm”/ “Responsible lawyer”/ “Originating lawyer” / “Working Lawyer” / “Assigned Lawyer”. 

   

5. Lawyer / Timekeeper - To report for a single lawyer or range of lawyers either by “Responsible or Originating lawyer” click on “Select” and select the relevant Lawyers to report on. To include all Lawyers, leave the default setting to “All”.  A separate page will print for each lawyer.
6. Type of Law - To report for a specific type of law, click on “Select.”  To report on all types of Law, leave the default setting to “All.”

7. Options - Select “Alpha” to sort by client name or select “Numeric” to sort by client number.

                                                      - Select “Summary Only” to only view a summary of the report.

8. Output Options - Select “View” to display the report on your screen, “Export to CSV” to export the report or “Print” to print the report.
9. Summary Only
   1. This box can be selected to produce only the summary as displayed in the report example below.
10. If this box is NOT selected, then an additional report is created. This report provides details for each Lawyer.  These details include each client/matter that the lawyer billed in the time period.  Hours, fees, billed fees, variance, % realized and effective rate/hr are detailed per client/matter.  The Responsible Lawyer, Originating Lawyer, Assigned Lawyer, Type of Law and Working Lawyer are also detailed per client/matter.

Tips

• Select memorize to add the report with the current options to the memorized reports.  Report can only be added once to the memorized reports.
