Learn how to replace a lost, damaged, improperly signed or erroneous share certificate!
Whether it is as a result of a certificate being lost and needs to be replaced, or whether the certificate was improperly signed, damaged, or issued in error, Unity Entity Management makes it easy for you to replace a share/ certificate - all you have to do is follow the steps enumerated below.
Replacing a Certificate
To replace a certificate, follow these simple steps:

Navigate to the profile of the entity for which you would like to replace a certificate

Navigate to the Securities > Ownership section down the lefthand side of the screen

In the Certificates tab, select + New - a list of various transactions will appear

A window will open up as New Transaction, Select Change to Certificates

In the Details tab, Select Type from the drop down. Select Transaction Date and Resolution Date, if you do not yet have these dates, check off Blank Transaction Date/Blank Resolution Date and fill them in at a later time - note: if you check off Blank Transaction Date, underlines will appear in the documents when you generate them where the dates would have appeared
- In the Certificate Selection tab, click Select Holding and select the holder that holds the certificate to be replaced. Select at least one certificate to be replaced

Select shares to transfer from by checking the Shares box

In the Certificate Issuance tab, confirm the certificate issuance information

Review the information you've entered in the Preview tab, and then select Create

Navigate to the Securities > Ownership> Certificates tab to view the newly cancelled certificate as well as the newly issued certificate

Generate the new certificate by clicking on the printing machine icon at the far right of the certificate record which will then save the Certificate in the Documents section

Select Generate and generate a Share Register to attest to the issuance of the new replacement certificate.
Deleting a Transaction and Related Certificate
In the event that you wish to unwind a transaction (delete a transaction and related certificate altogether), follow these steps:

Navigate to the Securities > Ownership > Transactions tab of the desired entity

Click on the Bin icon on the far right of the transaction
- You can also click on the transaction and use the Delete button in the bottom left corner of the dialog

A Delete Transaction window will pop up detailing what will result from the deletion of the transaction, which will be the invalidation of certain share certificates

Confirm the deletion.
