Virtual minute books are becoming essential as the legal community embraces technology and the need to access corporate records from any location. Creating virtual minute books is easy within the Unity® Entity Management database. To start, learn how to create virtual minute book headers by following these simple steps:
Creating Headers
To do this:
1. Navigate to the Entity.
2. In the Entity's left-hand navigation panel, navigate to the Minute Book section.
The Minute Book section provides space to organize documents with a tab-and-folder structure similar to a traditional physical minute book.
3. Click on Plus New, and you have the option to create headers from scratch.
and to import headers from existing entities and entity templates.
4. To add a new header or tab from scratch, select New Header.
5. Type in the header name and click Create.
6. To import headers from existing entities, including entity templates, click on Plus New and select Import Headers.
7. In the Select Entity window, you will search for and select the entity or entity template. You can scroll, you can navigate to different pages, and you can use the status, jurisdiction, or company group filter. You have search options and a search bar.
The platform is working to duplicate the minute book structure from the Entity template that was chosen. The tabs will be created successfully.
8. Click on the Options menu to rename, move, and delete headers.
a. To delete
Type in the word delete and click delete once more to complete the process.
b. To rename
Select rename. Edit the name and click Save.
c. To move
Select Move, and you can move from the Select Location window, or alternatively, you can simply drag and drop to sort the order.
As you will see on the right-hand side, you also have the option to set up subheaders or subtabs.
9. You can collapse and expand the sub-tabs by clicking on the arrow.
10. To create them, you can click into a tab and then simply click New and select New Header to create from scratch or select Import Headers to import from existing entities and entity templates.
