This article shows how to use DocuSign with Unity® Entity Management
Unity Entity Management can integrate with DocuSign to send documents directly from an Entity record to DocuSign. Once complete, a copy of the signed document will also be added to the Entity record in Unity Entity Management.
**Note: This will use the firm's existing DocuSign account**
If the firm does not have a DocuSign account, users can use UnitySign which enables users to send one document at a time for signature to stakeholders and is a free option within the platform.
- Navigate to the Entity and select the Documents tab to view all documents that have been generated for this Entity
- Click in the box to the left of the document you want to send for signature. With DocuSign, you can send multiple documents for signature at once.
- Click on the dropdown menu and select Sign with DocuSign.
- Use the regular process to add required information such as Signature Blocks, Initials, or Dates
- Once the document(s) have been sent in DocuSign, the Status of the documents in Unity Entity Management will also appear as Sent
- When the documents have been signed, a pop-up notification in the bottom left-hand side of Unity Entity Management will appear and the Status of the Document will show Completed. Note, this can be changed in Settings.
- Additionally, the Bell icon in the top right-hand corner will store an additional notification with more details on the documents that have been returned from DocuSign
- All documents that are signed via DocuSign are recognizable PDFs, which means once they are moved into the Virtual Minute Book, users can search through the documents.
**Note: Unity Entity Management intentionally saves a copy of the document before it was signed for record purposes. These are visible once the documents have been fully executed**
