In this article we are going to go over how to change the Fee Allocation Method in esiLaw 360.
Step #1: Changing Default Allocation Method
Go to esiLaw Global Settings – scroll to the bottom under "fee". Click the drop down arrow and change the allocation predefine in global setting. This will now be the default option for all new open files.
Step #2: Changing Default Allocation Fee
In the Client file setting click on the "Billing & Statements Settings" tab. On the right side go to the bottom under "Distribution Of Billed Fees And Receipts" and click the drop down menu. Here you may overwrite the default fee allocation setting by selection for specific files (as seen below).
Step #3: Change Fee Allocation In New Bills
Go to Billing settings , here you can choose the fee allocation method on the fly when you create bill (as seen below). This is the only way to choose a manual fee allocation method.
